"I believe that telling stories, first to ourselves and then to one another and the world, is a revolutionary act."
- Janet Mock

Se'era is...
A producer and storyteller specializing in podcasts, broadcast media, show development, and curation. To know her is to know that she's a HUGE Hip-Hop and R&B head — everything from the aesthetics (you will rarely catch her without her gold hoops), to the cadence, and pure joy she feels when a track is playing in the airwaves. When she's not listening to music, she's knee-deep in one of her favorite podcasts (Object of Sound, Mother Country Radicals, Passing Through ... the list goes on) or docu-series (The Last Dance, Floodlines, Hip Hop Evolution...), binge-watching or catching up on her favs (A Different World, Living Single, The Real Housewives of Potomac, insert anything by Ava DuVernay) or reading a book (memoirs are her go-tos). What can she say? Se'era loves dynamic storytelling in any format.

"There is no agony like bearing an
untold story inside of you."
-Zora Neale Hurston
I've always been enamored and completely mesmerized by compelling and engaging storytelling since my adolescence. From Spike Lee's exploration into what it meant to be a young, liberated black woman of the late eighties in She's Gotta Have It, the explicit imagery and sublime lyricism of Nas' Illmatic, primetime display of raw, authentic, successful, and multi-dimensional black women in Mara Brock Akil's Girlfriends, to the words, prose, and musings of the late Maya Angelou and Toni Morrison - storytelling will always and forever be my first love.
I aspire to create, produce and showcase amazing storytelling and content creation - in any format.
