Professional Summary

I'm the Community Manager at the PRX Podcast Garage D.C. The focal point and catalyst of my goals has been uplifting diverse, innovative and underrepresented voices. I have sought out opportunities to engage and collaborate with my community to serve, build partnerships and bring amazing content that resonates and connects the District. Prior to the Podcast Garage, I specialized in marketing, events and special projects at WAMU 88.5, Daily Press Media Group and Christopher Newport University’s Ferguson Center for the Arts. Now I'm continuing that work by helping to remove barriers for independent podcasters, providing a platform for diverse voices and ensuring the Podcast Garage is a welcoming space that celebrates the vibrant culture of the DMV.

Interests

To know me, is to know that I'm a HUGE Hip-Hop and R&B head — everything from the aesthetics (you will rarely catch me without my gold hoops), the cadence, and the pure joy I feel when a track is playing in the airwaves. When I'm not listening to music, I'm knee deep in a podcast (Still Processing, Bottom of the Map, Passing Through ... the list goes on), binge watching or catching up on my favs (A Different World, Living Single, Grownish, insert anything by Ava DuVernay) or reading a book (memoirs are my go-to). What can I say? I love amazing storytelling and content in any format.
